What problems can we work on?

You do not need to diagnose the cause yourself. We begin with the cat’s behaviour, health, routine and environment.

Litter box and territory

Elimination outside the litter box, furniture damage, scratching and other space-related behaviours.

Aggression and conflict

Biting, scratching, attacks towards people and tension or aggression between cats.

Fear and withdrawal

Hiding, avoiding contact, excessive vocalisation and difficulties after adoption or household changes.

Adjustment and environment

A new cat, moving home, a baby, another pet and enriching the life of an indoor cat.

Types of consultations

Led by Doriana Cimo — a certified cat behaviourist. I help with litter box problems, aggression, fearfulness, excessive meowing and adapting a new cat, among other issues.

Online consultation — 180 zł

Form analysis, an online consultation (1.5–2.5 h), a discussion of your space and routine, a detailed action plan, and follow-up contact after 2–3 weeks.

In-person consultation in Bydgoszcz — 230 zł

A home visit (1–2 h), an assessment of the space, resources and habits, an action plan and email support. Travel from 20 zł depending on distance.

30-minute mini-consultation — 80 zł

A short piece of advice without a full analysis: preparing a cat for a move, organising the environment, enriching the life of an indoor cat.

Follow-up consultation — 100 zł

For clients after the first consultation: 40–60 minutes to discuss progress, adjust the plan and define the next steps.

For several years I have studied cat behaviour, emotions, needs, communication and the subtle signals that are easy to miss in everyday life.

I work online and in person in Bydgoszcz. Every case is analysed individually, with respect for the cat’s boundaries and the caregiver’s real circumstances.

I combine scientific knowledge, empathy and an analysis of the whole environment. We work at the cat’s pace, look for causes rather than symptoms alone, and support the owner after the consultation.

FAQ

Before the consultation

Is an online consultation effective?

Yes, in many cases a detailed interview, videos, photos and a review of the environment are sufficient, without stressing the cat with a stranger’s visit.

Do you help multi-cat households?

Yes. I analyse access to resources, relationships, tension and introductions, and the plan covers the whole household.

Can I ask questions after the meeting?

Full consultations include an agreed follow-up period. Mini and follow-up consultations have a narrower scope.

Should I see a vet first?

A sudden behaviour change or suspected pain should always be assessed by a veterinarian before behavioural work.

What if the cat does not appear during the meeting?

That is normal and does not prevent the consultation. The owner’s observations, recordings, photos and an analysis of the home and routine are sufficient.

How should I prepare for the consultation?

Prepare short behaviour recordings, photos of the space, a list of questions and information about what you have already tried.

Can I book a consultation before adoption?

Yes. A pre-adoption consultation helps prepare the home, avoid common mistakes and understand the cat’s needs before arrival.

Do you work with rescued or traumatised cats?

Yes. We create a predictable environment and a plan that respects the individual pace and boundaries of cats with difficult histories.
