Every candidate goes through data verification, an interview, a theory course with a dog-and-cat-care knowledge test and a practical assessment with a mentor. Only people who complete every required stage and meet Alvis standards are invited to join.

Sitters learn the basics of animal behaviour, correct communication with a dog and safe walking. The course and knowledge test are followed by mentor-led training, where the mentor watches the interaction with the animal and assesses calmness, attentiveness and responsibility.

Your pets are cared for by vetted, carefully chosen sitters. Every person goes through a multi-stage selection process: data verification, training and a practical assessment with a mentor. We look not only at experience, but also at their attitude towards animals, responsibility and commitment.

Over 1200 vetted and verified sitters provide services through Alvis across many cities in Poland. As a result, there are usually several sitters in your area to choose from.

You describe your pet, its habits and needs in the request, and sitters nearby with the right experience respond — for example with anxious or reactive dogs. You choose a person by profile, rating and service history.

Yes. You decide which sitter to pick from those who applied for your order, and you see their profile, ratings and reviews beforehand. If it works out well, you can come back to the same sitter for future bookings.

Yes, in many cases it’s possible to arrange an introductory meeting. It’s a good opportunity to get to know the sitter, ask questions and see how your pet reacts to them. For many pets, such a meeting reduces stress and makes later care easier.

Such situations are rare, and when they happen we arrange a replacement from the reserve so your pet is never left without care. In addition, the optional Alvis Protect provides a quick replacement, a coordinator on call and coverage of emergency vet costs up to 1000 zł per order — it’s a support programme, not insurance.
